The Board of Directors at the GPSSA organize their 5th meeting for the year 2023 under the leadership of H.E. Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini Final data for 2022 was approved during the meeting

Abu Dhabi, 24th July 2023:  His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA), chaired the 5th board meeting for the year 2023 on Thursday 20th July 2023.
During the meeting, His Excellency proceeded in approving the minutes of the previous meetings and discussed the schedule for the previous decisions and recommendations made by the board. Additionally, various decisions and recommendations taken by sub-committees such as the the Investment Committee and the Internal Audit and Risk Committee were approved.
The board discussed and approved GPSSA's final financial statements for 2022 prior to them being submitted to the UAE Cabinet Ministers for approval. They also discussed the investment performance report for 2022 and the first half of 2023, then moved on to deliberate on other topics on the agenda which required appropriate decision making.
It is worth noting that GPSSA's statistics for June 2023 indicate that the number of contributors increased to 104,038 compared to 87,982 for the same period last year. The number of registered employers increased from 7,451 last year to 10,568 as of June 2023.
Data also shows that as of June 2023, the number of pensioners reached 19,548 compared to 18,318 pensioners in June 2022, and the number of beneficiaries reached 8,368 compared to 8,432 beneficiaries for the same period last year.
As for insurance expenses, their value in June of this year amounted to Dh397,799,391 compared to Dh396,086,188 for the same month last year.
