Pension Entitlement Update

This service enables pensioners or beneficiaries to review and update their personal information to ensure the accuracy and continuity of their pension or entitled share, in accordance with the Federal Pensions Law implemented by the GPSSA.

The process

Log in to Maashi platform.

Select “View My Profile” from the menu bar at the top of the page.

Choose the sections you wish to update and attach the required documents (if any).

Click “Save Changes” in the section(s) you have updated.

A notification will appear confirming that your updates have been saved successfully; then click “Close.”

A new notification will appear in your profile confirming that your request “Pension entitlement update” has been submitted successfully; then click “Submit.”

Proactive tips - before applying for the service

  • Customers (pensioners and beneficiaries) must ensure compliance with the update deadlines determined by the GPSSA, typically annually or upon any change in marital, professional or educational status.
  • Personal data must be fully updated, including: Name, Emirates ID number, Marital Status, Address, Employment Data, Contact Numbers, Bank Account, and Email, to ensure continuous communication and the uninterrupted disbursement of the pension.
  • It is advised to update the data of the Customer and their Dependents in the Unified Login System (UAEPASS).
  • Ensure the bank account number is updated and correct to avoid delays in the disbursement of monthly pensions.
  • Immediately report any material changes such as: Marriage, Divorce, Decease, Employment or Enrollment in Education, as these directly affect pension entitlement year.

Proactive Tips – After Applying for the Service

  • The status of the request can be tracked via the Ma'ashi Digital Platform to ascertain if it has been approved or if any unsubmitted documents are required.
  • A notification will be sent via email upon the approval of the request or if there is a need to submit additional documents.
  • The accuracy of the updated information can be verified by logging onto the customer's account on the Ma'ashi Digital platform.
  • If there is a change in the social, banking, educational or employment status, the data must be immediately updated.
  • In the event of any challenges, you may request technical support via the Ma'ashi Digital platform.

If a pensioner from the GPSSA returns to work, and their pension disbursement was suspended because their salary was greater than the pension amount, and they contribute again under the provisions of the law, how will their service be settled in the future if they leave work?

· If they become entitled to a pension for their subsequent service period, they shall be disbursed the larger of the two pensions, whether it's the one they are entitled to for their previous service period or for their subsequent service period

· If they become entitled to a gratuity for their subsequent service period, the gratuity shall be disbursed to them, and the suspended pension shall be reinstated for disbursement

Is a Pensioner allowed to return to work?

Yes, it is permissible to return to work if he/she is not over the age of 60.

Is a beneficiary allowed to combine two shares of a pension, for example, a share from their father and another from their mother?

Only the share with the greater pension value is disbursed to the beneficiary. Receiving two shares is not allowed.
