Report a Death

The service aims to submit a request to report the death of an insured, beneficiary or pensioner registered as a member of the General Pension and Social Security Authroity. Any eligible family member can request to be registered as a beneficiary to the pensioner or insured in order to start receiving the pension or benefits of the deceased.

The process

Log on to the Ma'ashi platform and apply for the service “Report a Death”

Use the Unified Login System (UAEPASS) if you are already registered, or register a new account if you are not

Proactive tips - before applying for the service

  • The report must be submitted by a legally authorized family member, such as the souse, son or legal guardian / agent / caretaker.
  • Ensure that the deceased's data is pre-registered with the GPSSA as a customer.
  • It is advised to update the data of all heirs in the Unified Login System (UAEPASS).
  • It is recommended to submit the report within a short period of time after the decease to prevent any suspension or delay in the pension disbursement to the beneficiaries, and to avoid the wrongful disbursement of any amounts.

Proactive Tips – After Applying for the Service

  • The status of the request can be tracked via the Ma'ashi Digital Platform to ascertain if it has been approved or if any unsubmitted documents are required.
  • A notification will be sent via email upon the approval of the request or if there is a need to submit additional documents.
  • The disbursement of the pension or entitlements in the name of the deceased shall be immediately stopped upon the approval of the report to ensure the commencement of the disbursement of the heirs' entitlements.
  • It is recommended to follow up on the registration of beneficiaries according to the categories approved in the Law through the "Beneficiary Registration" service.
